This study wants to find out how blood pressure control can be improved and whether people are getting the best out of their current medications.
It is funded by the British Heart Foundation and sponsored by The University of Manchester.
- aged 18+
- diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure)
- prescribed one or more antihypertensive medications (used to treat high blood pressure).
Taking part will involve:
- Attending an initial appointment at Manchester Royal Infirmary. During the appointment, participants will be asked to provide information about their health, lifestyle and medical history as well as provide a urine sample.
- Measuring and recording your blood pressure over a seven-day period using the equipment provided.
Some participants will be invited to take part in a further four visits over the following six months.
