Emotion and video games

This study is investigating the effect of emotion on video game performance.

It is being carried out as part of a clinical psychology doctorate at The University of Manchester.

Take part now


  • Aged 18+
  • No diagnosis of serious mental illness (eg schizophrenia or other types of psychotic disorder)
  • Confident using the English langue
  • Good vision and hearing


  • Online


  • Playin an online computer game
  • Completing an online questionnaire and image task

The study will take between 45 and 60 minutes to complete.

Participants will receive a financial reimbursement.
